Early morning fungi

This scene, lit by the early morning sun, caught my eye while I was walking Bertie. I do enjoy the different sights I see when I am out and about earlier than I would be without a wee dog to walk.
Phew, it’s been hot today, and muggy as well, making it quite uncomfortable to work in the garden. Also the midges liked it, so by mid afternoon it was time to beat a hasty retreat indoors. I heard on the news that some places in Scotland had their hottest September temperature since 1906.
