Rainette...

A full and great day - Danny was off out early to go to the pre school year parents meeting for Nate. The brilliant news is the assistant teacher for his class this year with be Susi, Asha's old teacher from Infantil that we absolutely loooooved. I'm so so delighted he'll have Maria and Susi, 2 brilliant women. 
We went straight to the coffee morning with the English speaking church. They're such a lovely bunch, all saying how they're going to miss Asha when she goes back to school! One the way home we bit the bullet and went to Decathlon to go get the kids trainers - they've been in flip flops all summer and now don't fit into any shoes!! Anyway, we had success and both kids are delighted with them. Nate's have a red sole like a sporty C.Louboutin shoe, ha!
Asha and I made Sole a card for her birthday tomorrow and did various birthday bits for her and another close person. Looking forward to seeing her first thing tomorrow before her shift starts. 

Drama of the day; 
Being almost hit by a car on a zebra crossing we were halfway across...a lady went from stationary and just went for it - screeching tyres and terrified Asha and me. Phew, my heart was racing.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Asha's delight at this frogs in the pond near the post office in town this evening. 
2) Success re footwear for the kids.
3) Thinking about how friendship has grown with Sole over the years.
