Ruby-throated hummingbird

This is a juvenile, so it doesn't have the ruby throat yet. I first noticed it a few days ago sitting at the feeder but not feeding. Then its mother flew by to feed it. It was adorable.

Here, it's sitting on top of the hook that holds up the feeder. What a little cutie.

Life news: My brother has COVID-19. He called me a few days ago to tell me. He's vaccinated (J&J). He works at Walmart and started feeling symptoms on Wednesday. He felt the worst on Thursday and went to the ER because it was the best place he could get tested. He tested positive quickly and was told to stay home for 11 days.

He said it feels like the worst cold he's ever had, which isn't bad, all things considered. He has COPD, is obese and said his doctor thinks he is diabetic (why wouldn't the doctor test to find out?), so he has plenty of conditions that make COVID-19 life-threatening. He said he was already feeling better and just going to wait it out at home before he can work again.
