Tractor Tuesday- The remap man.....

A busy morning followed by a busy afternoon. Better busy than not !
Fed the cattle then the man arrived with his dyno to re map the computer on my wee Claas tractor .
He hitched it up to the dyno and the output was not 90 Hp , only 84 Hp .
Seemingly he down loaded the software off the tractor , sent it off to some boffins , who modified it then sent it back then re installed to tractor. Then back on the dyno. End result, an increase of 17% to nearly 100 Hp. Still not a big engine but should help going up hills with a loaded trailer of bales !
In between all this the contractor arrived up with loads of big square wheat bales of straw- 108 if my count was right !
An afternoon spent baling straw behind the village. Hopefully there are a better class of kids down there and the bales will survive untouched until I lift them. We shall see..
A quick trip home to change a fresh roll of net wrap, then back down the road to nearly East Lothian to bale a field there. I don’t like the A68/Pencaitland road as there are a lot of speeding idiots who overtake you on bends and blind summits. Pulled in to let a queue of lorries and cars pass then nearly got wiped out as I drew back out again. Give me single track back roads any day !
Had the field there baled and back home by 8.30 pm so an early finish tonight.
