The Big Dig

After a walk along the canal we decided to go and see a nearby Big Dig which is taking place during September. The founds of mill worker’s cottages are being excavated. We watched as the volunteers scraped and shovelled. Then we were shown some bits and pieces that had been found. ( Broken pottery, bed spring, a child’s bangle to name a few.) It was also suggested that we dig down a small area in our own garden to see what we could find.

Chloe must have been listening because she started digging tonight.No major find so far! :)
