What a difference a year makes!
Nora and Hunter grow like weeds. It's amazing to see the difference a year of growth makes. She was 4 in May, he will be 2 in October. Today, Nora started the afternoon session of Pre-School offered by the Hanover Public Schools. Last year they were still living with my brother and sister-in-law, waiting for their new house to be completed. Very soon they have now lived happily there for a year.
It's an exciting September for nephew Greg as well. He has begun a three year Masters in Theology program at Boston University with a full scholarship. His goal is to become a Hospital Chaplain, something we think he is so well suited for. We delivered some things to him on Sunday, a curbside drop-off, the Covid protocols are very strict, thankfully. It was amazing and exciting to drive through the Fenway area and see students everywhere, smiling hopeful and faces starting new chapters in their lives. To be honest, it took me back to September 1967, my freshman year in Boston at Wheelock College not too far away on the Riverway. Wheelock has now merged with Boston University as their School of Education. So many memories flooded back, being young in a vibrant city. Greg is a graduate of Hampshire College in western Massachusetts ten years ago with a Masters from Queen Mary, University of London, but this is a whole new world for him as well. We wish them all luck.
For the Record,
This day came in sunny and warm, a lovely day.
All hands wary.
