Mapperton

The house and garden at Mapperton are rather beautiful, compact and delightful to visit.  Entry is not cheap (£11 per adult) but we had a two-for-one voucher and two willing fellow visitors.  One of them is happy to be photographed and she's in the Extra, stepping down on to the patio .

It was a gorgeous day, the breeze up the valley next to the house kept us cool and the coffee shop was properly stocked with local ice cream (Baboo).
