Beauty and despair

Weather wise, it was the most beautiful day, and on my way home from golf along the coastal road I had to stop and enjoy the view.
But it was a sad day as we'd  heard that a fellow golfer's brother was shot and killed in yet another farm attack. His son was also shot and is in hospital, and his wife was badly beaten up. These senseless farm murders are happening too often..
And we have had no power all day, and most of last night due to the nearby substation being vandalised.
I'm not painting a good picture of life here at the moment, but it's the reality. I love my country with its diversity and beauty,  hopefully we can get over all the problems one day and live peacefully.
