Staying Cooool

It's particularly hot today. Perhaps the heat that presages storms in the coming days, which would be annoying as we have weekend guests.

On the walk this morning I ended up at the nature reserve, where nothing was happening! More sensible creatures are not about in these temperatures, and those forced to ensure the sunshine find whatever shade they can.

This coo was sat under a sweeping willow tree, lit by the dappled light that made it through the leaves, caring not a jot for the flies. Or me.
