Grasmere

The weather was set fair so we got up and out early for a drive into the lakes.  We walked from the car park to Penny Rock Woods and then around the southern edge of the lake and back to the village.  Unfortunately, Mathilde's was closed due to lack of staff but we managed to get a table in the shade at the garden centre for coffee.  

After a picnic lunch we visited the gardens at Holehird.  (See extra).  Tea at Brantwood on the way home.
