It's Not Glens, It's Mine.
So the weather has kept me indoors again, I ventured out this morning to put stuff in the bin and couldn't get back inside fast enough, I wouldnae like to be a brass monkey, lets put it that way.
I may have to take a run round to the shop after I've posted this, I've got the notion for a wee cigar. I do enjoy smoking, I like to go to the tobacconist in Ayr, it's the closest one to me, it's a real old fashioned shop, big dark wood cabinets and counter, lots of little tins of various tobacco, walking sticks, pipes, various other smoking paraphernalia. I would love a pipe, the trouble is I'm that used to smoking cigarettes it takes me a while to get used to not inhaling the smoke. I more often buy their vanilla gold tobacco and usually a wee sample of another to try. I couldn't imagine buying branded packs of cigarettes now, apart from the fact they are expensive, they just don't feel as good to smoke.
Anyway, enough of this disgusting habit.
Todays Blip may be more socially acceptable, a nice bottle of Glenmorangie, given as a gift to wet my great nephews head, who was born on the 20th.
I've yet to open the bottle, so I thought I'd get a few pics of it, just to keep as a memento. here's some others.
The tasting notes say 'a complex balance of dark chocolate and mint flavours'
Does this make a chocolate orangie? hmmm, a taste test shortly I think.
I woke up this morning (again forgetting to switch of my i pod alarm) to the sounds of Curtis Mayfield, six o'clock on a Saturday morning is just way too early, even for Curtis. I stirred awake again around 8ish and made a coffee, stuck on some old Frasier episodes to laugh myself into the day. before I knew it, 12 o'clock had come round.
I've pretty much been faffing about all day, being slothlike in my productivity. Ach well, that's what days off are for.
James Yorkston has been soundtracking the past couple of hours, so I'm now going to race round the shop, get settled back down with my slippers a cheap cigar, a wee dram and some of this, cheers :)
