Tree Planting
We decided to replace the large and dangerous gum tree recently removed (here) with a fairly advanced maple. It came in a 175L bag of damp soil, so was a bit beyond simply digging a hole by hand! A small digger made short work of the entire job - hole dug, tree lifted into place, back-filled, digger back onto trailer and gone within 1 hour of his arrival. Blip loaded, all before 10am !
Takes me back to childhood days in the sandpit ;-)
The first extra is of the digger at work, and the second extra is of the intriguing markings on the side of the machine. Rather macabre I thought at first - maybe the number of people killed by this machine? - but the operator assured me that it was simply the number of graves it has dug in the local grave yard. Phew!
For those into technology, I forgot to get a close-up of these markings so did an extreme crop from a wider shot, up scaled it 4X (linear) in Topaz Gigapixel AI, and did a final clean up in Topaz AI clear. You can see the original uncropped file in the third extra. All this from a 16mp micro 4/3 sensor. This AI software is truly remarkable.
