RHS Bridgewater

Finally! I took Jenny to see the new RHS garden Bridgewater outside Manchester.
I have been wanting to visit since it opened this spring, but all the visiting permits had been booked for months in advance. We managed to get tickets for 3pm and since it’s open until 6 we thought we would go.
It’s a very large site. The walled gardens are enormous and the planting is complete and very well grown. Lovely late summer colours of bronze and pinks. The woodlands are very extensive and the planting scheme is still happening but delightful to wander through. The entrance building is wood with a living roof.
It’s all very calming and a lovely open feel. I look forward to seeing it develop over the next few years but really well worth visiting already.
