Cheers!
I wandered up to our local wine shop to purchase the desired beer that Brian requested as payment for cutting the hedge. He just wanted one (big) bottle, but warned me that it was quite expensive…
‘How expensive can a bottle of beer be?’ I mused to myself as Archie and I strolled to the shop. And there, in the window, were the desired beverages - big bottles, with quite big price tags (£15.95) NOT that I minded at all - I would have had to pay a hedge cutter much more! And it’s obviously a real treat that he wouldn’t necessarily buy for himself. It’s just that I can’t understand WHY. Though I read on the website that it’s fermented in oak casks for up to three years, so it’s no ordinary beer. Anyway, it’s in the fridge awaiting collection. I’m sure he will enjoy it.
We then walked across the Links - I had a jacket that I wanted the sleeves shortened slightly. ‘It’ll be be ready on Saturday. CASH’. I thought it was just in East Neuk that they wanted CASH.
JR and Archie went for a much longer walk. I didn’t. I came home and watched a bit of tennis - I’ve just realised the US Open is on Prime TV, and I’m about to watch the young English teenager Emma Raducanu tonight (on my iPad).
JR was so enamoured of the new coupes we got last week, that she ordered four more (just in case one gets broken), so she went off to collect them. They will stay in their box for now.
I have done my exercises today, and indeed every day. Got one more session to do this evening. The backs of my thighs (my hamstrings) are sore, so that must be good?
This used to be a proper football, but it’s still his favourite, so I can’t throw it out.
