Temporary?

I hope these stream barriers are a temporary measure to alter the flow of the water in the Styx River. They don't look sturdy or attractive. The rest of our walk around this wildlife reserve was wonderful but quite tiring. I didn't realize how far we had to walk to complete the whole circuit.
