El Cocinero
Darrin's brother invited the family to his new house for a Mexican barbeque today. The disco grill was handmade for his dad and Ryan got to be the first to cook on it. He grilled shrimp and cubed steak and pork and we made our own street tacos with all the trimmings. There was also Spanish rice and tortilla chips with warm queso dip and fresh guacamole. Those with stronger stomachs than I also had roasted Jalapeno peppers. For dessert there was tres leches cake with grilled pineapple and caramel sauce. What a feast! I doubt I'll even be hungry by breakfast time.
Besides eating, we had a nice visit with everyone and played some games. I even hit a volleyball around for a while with 10 year old Ivy who is just starting to play at school. Then there was darling 2 year old Greysen who shared all his toys with me. We just saw him a month ago and he wasn't talking much and today he was a little chatterbox. It's like something clicked. We are always grateful to be included as part of Darrin's wonderful family!
I really appreciate all your visits and stars and hearts. Thank you! xx
