Elder

And so it came to pass that the elder of my two girls left home today, off to be a student in The West. We took her through for the evening check-in time at her accommodation, unloaded the car, and left her in her room surrounded by all her stuff.

What a girl! Dead proud of her.

And surprisingly we weren't in floods of tears as we drove home either. Not that we're especially cold-hearted, it just all seemed that she'd be absolutely fine. Still, there's one more at home to contend with for a few years yet....as I said elsewhere - that's one down, one to go ;-)
