Duvet Day

OMG! We are both sooooooooooo tired! After driving all the way from Scotland to Cornwall on Thursday & Friday, going out three nights in a row and walking more than 10 miles yesterday; Ann said that we had to have a 'duvet day' today. I was more than happy to comply with her wishes. Lol!

For my morning walk we went for half an hour along the lane. I was off my lead but I didn't bother doing any speedy running. I was happy just to take it slow and do lots of sniffing.

Late morning Ann went out to watch the 'Tour De Britain' cycle race pass through St Ives. The cyclists were very super speedy so I'd just settled down for my snooze when she was back!!!

Oh and if anyone is interested Ann's sister & partner stayed with us (when we arrived back in St Ives on Friday) because today they set off to cycle from 'Lands End to John O Groats'. They're both really good cyclists though obv not as good as the Tour de Britain ones and think nothing of cycling 100 miles a day. However, they're taking it easy and 'only' doing about 50 miles a day which will take them 3 weeks. Mmmmm........... my human is the unfit member of the family!!!

This afternoon we had to go and pick up our car which we'd left last night after the 'Prosecco & Pizza' evening. We went the long route so that I could have some more 'off lead' time but again, I didn't bother doing any running. I'm really tired!!! I got left in the car while Ann popped into Tesco and (as is the norm in Scotland) she just automatically put her mask on. About half the people in Tesco this afternoon weren't wearing one, though having said that, one is never in contact with anyone in a supermarket for more than a minute.

But because we use BLIP as a diary of our life, we need to record this...................... Ann's sister & partner (who arrived by train) from the North Yorkshire Dales couldn't believe how busy it is here. They said the further south they got, the less 'mask wearing' people they saw. Apparently Cornwall is the COVID hotspot of the UK. Well it's bound to be isn't it as the whole world have been here on 'Staycations'. There again the COVID rates in Edinburgh (where we've just come from) are high. My human says we've all just got to get on with our lives and learn to live with COVID. It's not going to go away.

So here we are.......................... Sunday evening in St Ives and I'm lying flaked out. …............Ann wishes she was lying flaked out!!!

PS – Watch this space. Apparently tomorrow my human is taking me to do a really exciting activity so I need to conserve my energy tonight?!!
