John organised a visit to New Lanark for the steam boaters, one of three winter outings. We had arranged for the huge steam engine there to be specially operated for them (although of course it runs on electricity now). Due to weather problems only 4 could make it, but they had a good visit, then came back to the house for scones and tea - and to see the 'progress' on the boat John is building, Corra Linn.

Here they are doing an inspection with John showing them where the engine and boiler will sit, when they are finished. He did manage to fit the new name plates a few weeks ago, and give it a clean this morning.

We have friends coming for dinner so must get that on the go now. Smoked salmon and spinach lasagne. Also plan to switch off all the lights at 8.30pm for Earth Hour, and dine by candlelight!!
