Hotel

I was reunited with my favourite (mad) mare this morning for. Fun flatwork lesson. I'd forgotten how much fun she is when we aren't winding each other up. She was brilliantly behaved, if a little sweaty at the end and not too keen on being sponged off for some reason.

S1, no longer an S as she submitted her delayed dissertation a couple of weeks ago, turned up later along with multiple bags which I think means she's staying. Her first question was "where's my sister?" to which the response was "at the house you just left!" They've managed to avoid each other all summer somehow, deliberate or otherwise.

Himself is working on some  prep for an internal job interview on Tuesday so I went up to the allotment for a bit to give him some space. It was way too hot to dig potatoes, clear and plant some green manure in the most clay-y bed, prepare the garlic bed and plant a blueberry bush I found in the middle aisle in Lidl. I was definitely more drippy than glowing at the end.

Aubergine and courgette suprise for tea. I haven't worked out what yet as that's about all we have.
