Cademuir

The idea of A and I going for a walk in the Pentlands with Django from Flotterstone was immediately set aside when we saw the cars parked by the road, indicating that the car park was completely full, so we decided to go mushroom hunting near Peebles. Hence we drove back, past the house, and south. Cademuir sounded like a reasonable place to try, and A hadn't been up the hill before. We found a couple of ceps, and many inedible mushrooms like these. I keep meaning to photograph a cep in situ, but when I see one I tend to cut it "before it has the chance to run away"! From the top of Cademuir there was a hazy view (see extra).
