Amber Warning
10am Sunday morning - Sweet Amber is captured head up from snaffling seeds beneath the birdfeeder. She sees me and wanders away before returning (see extra) with the expression of the stealthy predator.
I have looked at my earlier fox blips so am sure this is not George or Silky G who bore the early scars of mange. Although not your typical cutesy blue-eyed critter I like to think that Amber is a 2021 well-grown cub, and she feels safe in our garden. The daylight visits are surprising, however, after watching Fantastic Foxes on Channel 5, which includes footage of urban foxes and their relationship with humans, I learn that this curious behaviour is not so unusual.
Sunny spells today here in Leeds, makes a change from the slab grey skies of the past week.
We have arranged a trip to Ireland to visit my Mother's grave, but I have learnt today that my Bro Ray and Our Dad will not be able to join us. There has been an admin error whereby my Dad's 2nd Vax was recorded with 2 different batch numbers! Despite Ray's best efforts to chase this, the problem remains unresolved resulting in no issue of vax cert. required for travel. In addition, my dad finally accepted that his lack of mobility would have made the journey very difficult for him. It is a sad realisation but an honest one. In addition to my Mum and her family, we would also have taken My Dad to visit the small graveyard where his Mother and her family are buried. We will go visit to place flowers with my cousin Ger next week.
