Det - old & new

Det is one of the Mainzelmännchen (little men from Mainz) and they are used in short animations for ZDF (Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen for those who have ever wondered). The one on the left (at least I hope it's the one on the left, I can't tell the difference sometimes) is an older version of Det.

Terribly thrilling day for me, I was supporting the big implementation from home and was watching out for problems where I could step in and help. Thankfully there wasn't anything that went wrong with our side of the project other than a little storage problem and that was fixed in less than 5 minutes.

Now all I have to do is wait until 9 tomorrow morning to see how the next phase goes.

Yesterday's song in German was David Bowie's "Let's Dance" - a song that always reminds me of HB who had quite a crush on Mr Bowie and probably still does. Today's song takes another liberty with German (although you'll probably get it before you get to the last three words). it goes like this:-

Meine Mutter war eine Schneiderin
Sie nähte meine neue bleue Jeans
Mein Vater war ein Spieler
Unten im großen Leichtsinn
