Hanging on
I pulled a few carrots to see how they are growing. These are only 3” max and are the biggest, but are tasty.
A morning of gardening, sewing and housework, whilst we waited for a delivery of wine. A couple of cases of NZ Sauvignon Blanc and Malbec from Argentina, which will see us nicely through the rest of the year.
We then headed over to P’s to drop off a parcel containing an incomplete skeleton of a baby wood pigeon. It died in the nest in the tree in our garden a couple of years ago and the following year fell out during high winds. It landed on top of one of the big pots so was protected from damage. P will use it for teaching purposes.
The girls were pleased to see me and Lottie had to pose nicely thinking that I wanted a picture! (in extras) She looks such an old lady :0)
In past Cobbs for bird seeds, before visiting R & S. S was working on the patio doing the grouting, it has been such a long job, but it is looking good.
Amber and Olive were confined to the kitchen as S certainly did not require their assistance. They were most unhappy about that.
Tea, coffee and cake were consumed before we headed home taking Olive with us. She is staying over for a couple of nights. The afternoon walk was lively, no problems in hitting the targets on my watch today.
