Freezing on the Ouseburn

Freezing on the Ouseburn

It was cold, very cold. In fact, it was so cold I thought I would get frostbite in my hands as I took my gloves off to take a quick picture or two. We walked down from Byker, past the Cluny, the funny little boat (pictured), one or two bedraggled ducks looking sorry for themselves, the Toffee factory (where our absent architect lives), and down to the river Tyne.

The wind chill factor here was extreme, coming in fast from Scandinavia. So, we had a quick look down the river to the Sage Baltic and the Millennium bridge and then 'legged it back up to the Biscuit factory for coffee, cake and warmth. The cheapest pictures were around £700, and the only one I liked was £3000! So, we bought some postcards and a hand painted mug instead. Cheapskates !!

Back home to light the stove, get warm and go back into hibernation. When will the warm weather and the sun ever arrive ???
