Family heirloom.
Some time ago I was asked about maintaining this fabulous Yew and explained that it should be done in late summer/early autumn not, as previous years, in late spring.
Today was the day and what a perfect day to do it. I'd only seen photos before, it's quite some way away, so was a little concerned that it wasn't going to be a monster.
4 hours later it was done, it's going to take a couple of years to get it properly back in shape but the owner was very happy.
The best part of this is that I learnt the trees history, it was first started by the owner's grandfather and had been a local landmark every since.
I also visited Mum and pruned the last Pittosporum to do in her garden then dinner with RF then home to fall asleep rather than do this entry!
