And While The Chief...
Room 519
BackBlipped from Last Saturday When we started our holidays.
Room 519 was in the Premier Inn Hub In Rose Street.
It took us 3 hours to get here from home - just shitty traffic and travel restrictions in Edinburgh. - 2 hours from the Western Approach alone.
The only plus side was that by the time we had got there, it was nearly time for check in and the lovely ladies held our bags, while we went to recover from the journey.
We recovered with two glasses of alcohol each and a range of dishes in MezeMeze.
I was pleasantly delighted with the room - It wasn't a standard hub room - it was a Hub. "Bigger Room". Joy. The last time we had a hub - i had claustrophobia. (I always take the wall incase someone attacks me from the door)
Anyway - this room was grande in size and i was able to bounce around to my hearts content.
We weren't there long - we had a mission.
We wanted to visit the Campervan Brewery Tap Room. We've wanted to visit ever since I tasted their "Hoppy Botanist" three/ four years ago at Fyne Fest.
We were going to walk / get a bus, but then we thought.. "there's a taxi" and we jumped the taxi. That was lush.
And we found the tap room and drunk a few pints in the beer garden table service only and then wandered round to their pub Lost In Leith (just round the corner He said.... )
We found it next to a little fake dock in Leith, next door to Tom Kitchin's Kitchen. Very posh. We sat outside til it was too cold to sit any longer.
And then we went inside and sat a little longer.
And then... we got a taxi back to the hotel.
And had another drink.
And a pizza.
Strong start for a holiday.
