What a difference a day makes

After yesterday's perfect day at Crummock Water, today we decided to go back there to paddleboard, hoping for similar conditions (as the forecast suggested).

Crummock can be unpredictable though, and though it was pretty calm when we started, by the time we'd got half way down the lake the wind was well up, and the waves made it a real workout to get back. 

When we got back to the south end of the lake, it was flat calm again. We had another half hour enjoying the conditions, before pulling the boards up and I shot off to the car to grab a camera. In that 2 minutes, it rippled up again.
