I was sitting having my breakfast this morning when I noticed these bejewelled spiders' webs hanging in the fir tree opposite the window. I could not pass up this marvellous blip opportunity as I certainly haven't seen anything like it previously. Obviously it needs the spiders to have been busy the night before and a haar with just sufficient moisture in it for the water globules to form on the spun web. I assume these hammock shapes are created just by the weight of the water rather than the spiders creating 3D web shapes. Too much moisture and the webs will break. In the dark and damp atmosphere I needed to really rack up the ISO to get sufficient depth of field.
