Terrier 2678….

…. storms up the bank past Cranbrook Road crossing with empty Victorian stock from Rolvenden to form the B set for today’s services on the KESR.

It looked and sounded magnificent. No. 300, the USA Tank was on the A set and made its own impression when it assaulted the bank on each of its three trips. It made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. I had a grin a mile wide! To top it off, the crescendo of sound was heightened by a long blast on the whistle as the train crossed the road.

You can tell where I was; working the crossing gates at Cranbrook Road. A fine duty.
