SILLY SATURDAY - VROOM, VROOM!
Hello Lovely Blippers,
We were very excited yesterday when we heard Mike, Mr & Mrs HCB’s lovely neighbour, revving up his motorbike. We dashed outside and asked if we could have a ride when he said that he was still “tinkering” with it, but as soon as it was ready we could go out for a ride. Well, wouldn’t you be excited to go out on a very old motorbike? This one is a 1989 Honda Revere and if anyone is interested, it is actually for sale - just let Mrs. HCB know and she can pass your details on to Mike! She might even get some commission for selling it!
We understand that this motor bike is in a category called “Naked” but we told Mrs. HCB we drew the line at posing for a Silly Saturday photograph completely “in the buff”- it was actually very cold and misty this morning and we didn’t want to frighten the neighbours if they saw bears and their friends baring their all, if you get our drift!
Of course, the law says that you have to wear a crash helmet so last night Mrs HCB made us all a helmet with our initials on, and also some lovely sparkly goggles. We know that Mike always wears goggles and a big crash helmet so we thought this was the right thing to do and, of course, we need to be safe, but unfortunately, Mrs. HCB didn’t have enough time to make us all leathers, so we said we would wear our ordinary clothes, just this once and perhaps next time she could make us some leathers to wear.
We’re not quite sure where we will go for our first “spin” but we don’t think it will be too far - just enough to feel the wind in our fur and to get up some speed - so it will probably be along the dual carriageway quite near to where they all live. Just so you know, we have put in an extra shot of us checking all round the motorbike to make sure everything is in order - well, we need to stay safe.
Of course, this is especially in memory of Admirer today, it being the first Saturday in September - and we are sure she would have giggled if she could have seen us all. Mike did say that Mrs. HCB could have a go on the bike too, but she declined and said she had to take the photographs - what a wimp and a poor excuse - can you imagine her in black leathers, a crash helmet and goggles? Mmmm the mind boggles!
It was very misty when we all got up but the sun has come out now and it looks as if it will be a lovely day, so we are off on our motorbike ride and will see you next week. We love having adventures and who knows what else we will get up to?
Take care and have a lovely weekend.
With love from
JH Ted, Tiny, Snowy, Penny Penguin and Hoggy xxxxx
P.S. We want to send our love and very best wishes to Mrs. HCB's Blip friend, LSquare - she is in hospital, but I'm sure when she recovers she would enjoy coming out for a spin with us. Get well soon, Linda!
