Taking shape

We can now begin to see the shape of the hull. It might be strange to think that most of this wood, the very pale stuff, won't actually be part of the finished boat. It is just the soft wood frame-work around which the planks will be placed. However, before the planks can be put on, the "timbers" or ribs that run up and down, need to be put in to give something to fix the planks to. Is that clear? I thought so! It will all make sense in the coming weeks and months.
