My days ...My life

Ardmore evening walk

I was aiming for sun setting at 8.30, but when we got to our favourite space for watching the waves the sun was long gone behind the hill.
Sounds of gulls, curlews and many little terns surrounded the space as night fell.
It was a bit too dark for walking along the shore path through the woods .
Hazel nuts are ripening on the trees there and many acorns have already fallen.
Autumn is here, with its display of rowan berries and haws and green leaves turning to gold.
There were skeins of geese flying low as we paused at the car - toing and froing from shore to the fields . The night full of their wonderful calling.
