No longer smooth.

I used to take care to keep a smooth surface on this Yew when I trimmed it but last year and this I'm beginning to get some structure into the surface. I have seen examples of very structured Yew hedges which I'd love to replicate. One of those hedges was due to neglect during WW11 which meant it grew out of the clipped straight lines over 6 years, I don't have that long.

I was going to spend the evening with RF but there is a possibility of a bug in her house (not the Russians) and I'm planning to visit my mother tomorrow so I went home instead, not wanting to take anything nasty to visit her.
