Must Be Friday
Sunny and warm all day. There are always tons of jobs to do before going away so we were busy bees. Hubby spent the morning trying to recoup $100 he had on an electronic gift card. Someone in Memphis, TN had hacked the database and helped themselves. The lady at Cracker Barrel said cyber theft has been extremely high this last year. I guess some people used their Covid lockdown time in the worst possible way. Disgraceful. The company was happy to send a replacement. I now wonder about our other cards. Hubby cut grass at home and church. He’s headed to pick up the camper so we can load it. I ironed, cleaned, did laundry and gathered non-perishable groceries for the trip. My mother sent cookies for my BIL so they stopped by for just a minute. Our oldest granddaughter became a home owner today. Can’t wait to go over tomorrow. We are giving her gates to keep River from falling down the stairs as their housewarming gift so we have to measure the openings. Our flowers have passed their peak but there is still a bit of color if you get close to the gardens. The dainty morning glories looked nice this morning covered in dew. The beauty berry seeds are now bright purple. I was just going to blip the whole shrub but the close up of the berries showed them off better. The vinca did good this year. They prefer drier conditions. And somehow, the azalea had this one bloom open today. My two grands in private school were off today. There have been teachers and students get COVID so the principal decided to close the classrooms and do a thorough deep clean of the entire school. I will not be surprised if the same thing happens at the public schools this fall. I’m feeling okay going camping though. Hopefully our site will be as roomy as the last one. We plan to only go out for Mass and shopping later in the week. And we’ll take a few outside jaunts to find a blip. Have a wonderful weekend folks. Those in the US, be safe during the 3-day Labor Day holiday. Thanks for dropping by. “There are always flowers for those who want to see them.”– Henri Matisse
