The accidental finding

Leo the marmalade cat

This is Leo from next door. He's taken to using our patio now that Bomble no longer patrols it. I tried to sneak up and get a picture of him snoozing softly, but he heard me and went into flight mode. I'm glad I'm not a TomCat. They're always having to watch their backs in a semi-urban environment.

Work today: safeguarding, rearranging furniture, designing a curriculum, first aid training, moving ride-on cars out of the shed. Walking home via Wilko's to see if there's a plastic bowl of a particular size. Empty shelves where the goods used to be .

More gardening. Steve had been strimming. Neighbour had cut down sycamore trees on her side of the fence
while we were away, but had left them on our side of the fence. Gee, thanks. I started cutting limbs off the big Sycamore at the edge of our boundary. Wanted to create a space to admire the view over the valley. Made a little space, finally, and brought down a chair. Sat down to admire the little 'window'.Realised that the sun sets in a different space, behind a tree that has turned into s hedge. Started lopping at it. Became frustrated at my lack of progress. Had to come in because dark was falling. There's so much I want for the garden, and I've so little idea of how to get there!

Sad news: another former member of our WEA class has died. She had been ill for a while, and no, it was not CoVid. Maybe not having regular checkups during Lockdowns is a causal factor.
