Nature Reserve

This little Nature Reserve is at Hirst Woods near the Leeds Liverpool Canal in Saltaire. We’ve seen it before from the outside but it was locked for some of the time during lockdown. 
It was nice today to have a little wander around and see a little brightness from the seasonal flowers. As usual on a Friday afternoon I met my friend in Saltaire and walked along the canal. We took a little look around here before going to Higher Ground for a cup of tea. We thought it might be wet so chose it as there is room for sitting inside. A flat grey afternoon but no more than a bit of dampness in the air so we opted to sit outside. We shared a nice sticky piece of ginger cake with our cuppa, seems that we are moving towards that season.

Walked back along the river to Roberts Park before returning home.
