Where to now?

A really hot day! We drove along the Strathnaver road to look at the clearance villages but the bracken was so high that it was impossible to see anything. Luckily, there are very good information boards and we have been there before. 

We decided to go back up to the north coast, via Ben Hope, across to Tongue and then started again down towards Lairg!  

Parked up for the night early on and were absolutely plagued by midges! Moved on a bit and it was just as bad! 

The map Mike is studying is of ancient British places of interest. Yes, the back is upside down, but the other side is the right way up!
