No prizes
... for guessing where we are. This is clearly installed for social media purposes, so I obliged. Extras 1 and 2 are more typical views of downtown Figueres.
We got here about 1 pm and strolled out for lunch at 2:30. S had used TripAdvisor to select a likely restaurant; if you are careful with it, you can score highly, and this place was a hit. Delicious food, with special mention for the desserts (extra 3). Being a stone's throw from the Dali museum we had to go for Dali's egg* and Gala's lips. Both delicious, though Dali's egg (white chocolate and crema catalana) had the edge over Gala's cream cheese mousse with red fruits.
It had been humid all day, and while we were sitting there it rained copiously, but we were perfectly sheltered by the restaurant awning. Siesta now, tapas later.
And more adventures tomorrow!
* linguistic note: in Spanish, huevos is slang for balls in the testicular sense.
