Receded
Things are much calmer today after yesterday's drenching. The sky was clear, and the river and creek aren't raging. The local newspaper reported that Wills Creek (at right; Potomac River in the background) crested at 14 feet (4.2 meters), 4 feet (1.2 meters) over flood stage. These tree trunks show how high it got. This is the confluence of the creek and river.
