Abstract minimalism?

Or just minimalism? After yesterday’s haunted wood dark offering I’ve been playing with the brighter side of exposure and the gamma element. Not convinced I understand why the gamma adjustment has the effect it does though I do understand that a camera ‘sees’ things differently than the human eye does.
But I do love this effect and the crate which annoyed me in the original photograph looks great now.
