Magnolia

Busy couple of days, late Blip. My old friend Nina has been staying with us, she came to town to steward an art exhibition at the Oxmarket Gallery in Chichester. She is, among other things, a batik artist, she also paints in various media and makes ceramic sculptures. This is Magnolia, one of her batiks on cotton. Years ago, she illustrated a book my husband wrote. We still have all nineteen original artworks for those illustrations, framed but nowhere large enough to hang them, although they have been on view at different venues such as the Findhorn Foundation. Such a pity. Hoping at the new place we can hang at least one.
