Bird

We (myself and Heater Dog) often spot different kinds of wildlife in our `across the field and alomg the river walk`. I've seen quite a few deer recently but never really bothered to photograph them but today I thought I'd snap this bird after watching it for a bit trying to climb out of the frozen river.

A question, is it a heron or...?
