Another trip in to Leeds today, to pick up some stuff from Kirkgate Market. Apparently, the market is the largest covered market in Europe. It’s home to all sorts of enterprises; the first ever M&S originally opened here as a penny bazaar. There are pop up shops, volunteer hubs, community artwork (see extra), childcare workshops and a community library. There’s a fish row, a butchers row and a game row and a Jamie Oliver Ministry of Food. In total there are 800 stalls serving 100,000 visitors each week. It’s a fantastic community hub and a great place to shop & grab a coffee. We then moved on to Bundobust for some superb Indian street food with Roo & Dave. And then home!
