Quirky Workshops in Greystoke, near Penrith, run a variety of great craft workshops, and I spent today making a Green Man for the Garden.  I found it quite hard to make the face, but making the oak leaves and acorns that surround the face was fun.  I was trying to make him look happy rather than grotesque or scary, but he now appears to be rather surprised about something.  The tutor has taken him back to her studio to dry and then fire, so it will be 4-6 weeks before I can see how the final face will look.
