Autumn

Meteorologically speaking, we are now in Autumn. I did another leg of the Sheffield Country walk today and there were many signs of Autumn, like these and many other berries - good news for the birds. Still very few fungi, and the woodland floors I traversed today were very dry. It was an interesting route following strips of green and wooded landscape between roads, railway lines, factories and residential areas.
It was longer than last week’s walk, but less strenuous, having only a few inclines and descents.
