Otira Valley, Arthur's Pass

My latest attempt to see a New Zealand Rock Wren, an alpine species living amongst rocky valleys and ridgetops. And the only endemic passerine I haven't found yet. This bird is so rare, it's like looking for a needle in a haystack, scanning all that talus.

Still no needles....
