Autumn!

Yet another stunning day!  Headed up the A9 towards Pitlochry only taking 35 mins due to the completed section of the dualling open between Perth and Birnham.  Hooray, no more 40mph on this part now.

The sky was so blue, the loch perfect surrounded by trees.  Paddled up as far as the bridge over the A9 and the old footbridge next to it.

As we arrived back at the car after a couple of hours on the Loch there was a guy and his two wee dogs on a mobility scooter next to our boot.  I would give you some privacy if only I could move he said.  I asked him if anyone was coming to help and he said no, and would take him around an hour to walk to his flat in Pitlochry as the reason he was in the scooter that he fell down a spiral staircase and his left foot snapped in half - ouch!  I said that we would help him.  S would drive Grant to his flat to get his car and I would stay with the dogs, a patterdale and a terrier mix.  Poor dogs must have thought he was abandoning them and Penny the Patterdale was barking her head off, shame for the wee soul.  They arrived back and he had a Mitsubishi that had a boot that folded down and he got his scooter on.  He wasn’t old and used to work offshore Till the accident.  We chatted about life as a disabled person and he said a lot of people aren’t as sympathetic as you they refuse to get out of my way in pavements and give me looks as they can’t see why I am in one!  Shame on them!

Good deed over we went up to the visitor centre cafe and ordered the same food as last week.  Chatted to an old couple whose daughter was over from Bavaria and they had not seen her for nearly 2 years!  She was inside trying to get them a seat on the balcony overlooking the dam.

We had a wander afterwards to the dam looking down river.  It’s a lovely view.

Good drive home and 24 on the car thermometer.  Chilling in the garden and some watering of the plants.

Oh, and Cameron got his first Pfizer today after school.
