Incoming Tide

According to the oracle on such matters, you can tell whether the tide is coming in or going out by which direction the bow of the boat is facing. I'm reminded of this every time we pass this point and it's become something of a game to guess the tide status, using the boat to verify the result.

It occurs to me that the telltale depends on the boat being anchored by its bow.

This evening, at this location, was one of those where a good image could be achieved by pointing my camera in any direction. And I had a good few images to choose from. If only every outing were so enjoyable and productive.
