Magenta Spreen

As autumn approaches, the Chenopodium giganteum plant at the end of our back garden is starting to flower. I'd heard it referred to as 'Tree Spinach', but the alternative name of 'Magenta Spreen' took me by surprise as I was searching for a link online just now!
